Summary of the project

Friendship, families, education, career, holidays… Everyone wants all or some of these things, but it may not happen as we wish. Sometimes life is sweet and beautiful, but sometimes it is brutal. So we must help disable people, because they have the same dreams as we, but less possibilities. The first task is to change their attitude on life. We can help them to find  positive sides of this sometimes unfair life, to convince that disability is not an obstacle in their lives and not a burden for the society. Next, to give them a chance to realize themselves. We must give them a possibility to get a knowledge and to implement it in a real life. Our task is to show, that their work can be useful and profitable for them and society. That’s why we form the idea to realize the project “Open For Change”.

We plan to have 3 volunteers from abroad with knowledge in spheres of IT or journalism. Also we prefer people with teaching skills. Volunteers will be hosted. Before the beginning of activities they will have training sessions about teaching and working with disable people. Each volunteer will spend three months with us. The sending organization will send only one volunteer each period (there are 4 periods).

The project activities are based on the psychological influence, the use of the innovative new technologies, journalism and teaching skills for people with fewer opportunities. The base of their implementation will be the work with physically disable people. He / she will:

− have training sessions about the process of teaching and working with disable people;

− take part in the organization and implementation of trainings, workshops;

− participate in meetings on social and cultural themes with disable people and other guests. Those activities will be organized in a warm atmosphere like thematic breakfasts, lunches or dinners;

− work in a dynamic team of up to 5 volunteers, presenting and covering  European and other countries.
